What to Do Before Your Oral Surgery

Getting ready for mouth surgery? There are a few things you should do leading up to your appointment. First, make sure to carefully read all pre-op instructions. This includes special info regarding your anesthesia and how to prepare for it, as well as specified instructions related to your procedure. Once you’ve had your oral surgery, it’s best to focus on recovery. That’s why we always recommend picking up any medications in advance. We’d be happy to call those in to your local pharmacy for you. Pick them up before your appointment so you can focus on rest after the surgery. Arrange for transportation. You likely won’t be able to drive after your appointment, so make sure you have a ride. It’s also a good idea to have plenty of soups and soft foods like rice and pudding on hand to eat during recovery.
