Wilmington Oral Surgery is the most amazing surgical office I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit. I spent days trying to find an oral surgeon to extract a complex molar that had a half finished root canal and had no luck getting anyone to see me quick enough or to even offer any help or advice until speaking with the exceptional staff at Wilmington Oral Surgery. I called at 8:30am and had surgery by 2:30pm that same day. I am so incredibly grateful to the Wilmington Oral Surgery team who made time for me and helped me through every step of the process. I had my wisdom teeth removed with Dr. Puckett. I also purchased the rinse kit from his office as well to help with healing/ bruising/ inflammation( 10/10 recommend ) . I was nervous as heck for the consult and the procedure, but Dr. Puckett and his team were absolutely amazing and so kind. I even had questions a few days after my procedure and they were happy to answer them. May I just say!!
I had my wisdom teeth surgery TODAY.
I had been writhing in pain for weeks! And today, even after surgery, I’m finally relieved! (Not to mention how they worked with me on pricing in amazing ways!)
I can’t express how grateful I am for their amazing team! So smart and so kind, AND so quick 😂!! I’m from Houston, been to many dentists & surgeons to fix this, & have never experienced service this attentive and genuine. Praises to this entire team, y’all are truly angels!❤️

So incredibly happy I went here! I was terrified to go under general anesthesia as I am a control freak and it was something I had never done before! I’m so happy I went under and honestly I wanna be back under.. lol. It’s definitely not anything to worry about especially when you have a team of really good doctors!! Plus it feels very good and relaxing! It’s like the best nap of your life, in my opinion..
He injected the iv, I didn’t even feel him put the iv in, Dr. Puckett kept talking to me ensuring I was calm and I started to taste a minimal taste, I can’t describe it..and then I remember waking up! I was blabbing to the nurse but not sure what I had said lol.
All 4 wisdom teeth took about 30 minutes to be removed and an extra 10/15 to wake up completely from being under! Super fast! And that feeling felt great lol. I have pretty bad anxiety and I had none once I woke up (:
So far I have experienced no nausea (I have really bad acid reflux when I don’t eat and that makes me nauseous but I’ve experienced zero!!) zero swelling, no pain just mild discomfort..and I woke up from anesthesia absolutely ravenous..came home and let my gauze soak up some of the mess then feasted on applesauce, cottage cheese and pudding, with water. Haven’t taken any meds yet, not even ibuprofen!
Also, aside from my slightly high pain tolerance, the kit they give you has to be a big reason I feel so great! So make sure you use that!Alexis KarshnerMarch 13, 2024
